Do you want to join the ranks of Stefan Sagmeister, James Victore, Rei Inamoto, floto+warner, Christoph Niemann, Mike Mills, Bonnie Siegler, Emily Oberman, Todd St. John and the like? Prove it.

If you are age 30 or under and have been working for at least two years in graphic design, illustration, photography, film and video, packaging and environmental design, experimental fashion, interactive media, and/or advertising and publishing, you are eligible to enter ADC Young Guns 6.

Saturday Career Workshop  
Twice a year, the ADC, in partnership with the School Art League and the New York City Department of Education, offers a series of six Saturday Career Workshops to 50 artistically talented high school juniors from all five boroughs of New York City. Leading visual arts professionals volunteer to introduce students to careers in visual communications, while helping them build competitive portfolios for art school applications.

The spring line-up is as follows:
March 29: Steven Kroniger: Illustration
April 05: Manabu Inada: Poster Design
April 12: Kris Delaney: Art Direction
April 19: A + B: Alphabet City
May 10: Jason Lancaster: Typography
May 17: Jason Pacheco: Advertising

The workshop runs from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm.

25 area High School students have been chosen to learn from top New York City photographers. By the end of the program, each student will have created a portfolio of photography pieces, which will be displayed in the ADC gallery.
