ADC Young Guns @ Apple Store, Jungfernstieg: Stephan Walter

ADC Young Gun Stephan Walter (YG9) will be appearing @ the Apple Store, Jungfernstieg on May 24, 2012.

Stephan Walter lives and works in Zurich, Switzerland where he was born in 1982. Stephan started work in the graphic design world at an advertising agency. During his time at the agency he made up his mind that the only way for him to express his passion in graphic design was for him to become self-employed!

Stephan studied Graphic and Media Design at the F&F School for Art and Media Design. After graduating, Stephan pursued his dream. He worked for the F&F School, Freitag AG and for some local bands from Zurich. During this time he was resolving his own style and approach. He quickly developed his own picture language by learning a lot of techniques related to handling alternative design softwares.

A year after graduating, Stephan flew to New York to conduct research and development work with Stefan Sagmeister.

Stephan has now practiced for seven years as an independent illustrator and graphic designer trading under his own name. Over the last seven years he has worked for many clients including David Byrne & Brian Eno, Wired Magazine, Time Out New York, Vodafone, Volkswagen, ESPN, die Zeit, Levis, Sagmeister Inc., Elle and many more.

Stephan also teaches and lectures at schools for design, mainly in his beloved discipline: Typography and Illustration.

With his design and illustration work Stephan has won several international design prizes like the ADC Young Guns 2011. The Artwork for David Byrne was honoured with a Grammy.

Stephan wants to give you Printed Love.

SCAMP - a playground where inspiration and actions collide.
http://pinterest.com/scampconference

Isn't it great to witness germs of ideas before they become big? To see the next iPad, the next Pinterest, the next Google venture? SCAMP 2012 is a conference about ideas still in progress, prototypes, experiments and innovation. We’ve curated a bunch of themes and products we believe will be famous one day.

The event will happen in New York on FRIDAY, JUNE 15th at the Art Directors Club. The format is a half-day conference where each hour is dedicated to an innovation category: entrepreneurship, product, community and creative.

1 - 7 PM
@ ADC Gallery
106 West 29th Street, NYC

SPEAKERS
We'll have a great line-up for you. From big companies like Google all the way to smaller ones like The Way We See the World, we've cureated the best innovators out there. For speaker info please visit our NY Speaker Board on Pinterest.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
SCAMP is curated for people who are looking for inspiration outside their bubble, this includes thinkers, creatives, innovators, cross-platform specialists, publishers, artists, curators, strategists, creative technologists, UX evangelists and entrepreneurs.

So if you're a lady or gentleman doing a start-up, or a freelance creative, in advertising or any other creative industries, this conference is for you.

To book tickets please visit: http://scampconferenceny.eventbrite.com

THE SMALL PRINT WE THINK SHOULD BE BIG
And to keep with the conference theme of doing things first, we have have been the first conference on Pinterest.

SCAMP is a creation of SheSays (weareshesays.com) - an award-winning global organization for women creatives. This is why our speaker list is 80% women, 20% men. But we don’t make a big deal about that fact. It should just be a given that there is a more equal balance of female speakers at events. We just want to celebrate amazing women wherever and whenever we can.
