Co-founder, Number Seventeen, a multidisciplinary
design firm working in TV,
film, print, products, and web. Current
clients include Colors Magazine, Air
America Radio, and Logo. Before Number
Seventeen, Emily was senior designer at
M&Co, and until recently, President of
AIGA NY. She received the Agustus St.
Gaudens Award for Alumni of the Year
from Cooper Union in 2004.

got to assemble a crack team of brilliant
designers, thinkers, and talkers, many of
whom I knew, and some of whom I had
always wanted to know. They brought
humor and passion to two days of intense
judging. We saw an incredible range of
work (as is always the case), from the
bad to the crazy, to the so insanely good it
makes you jealous and humble at the same
time. There were impassioned speeches,
heated arguments, and lots of laughs—all
of which are needed to put together a truly
great show. I was honored and pleased to
be a part of it all (and if they’d have us back
we’d do it all over again).”
