Mod led the company's branding efforts after its inception in 2002, designed its first two hardback books and played the lead role in several web-based projects, including buzztracker.org. He also runs the company's Japan-based design studio. Recent clients include Dentsu, Mitsubishi Estates, Knee High Media and Toppan Printing, where Mod acts as a design consultant. Mod studied fine arts and computer science at the University of Pennsylvania where he received a B.S.E. He also graduated from Waseda University's intensive Japanese language research program.
